A well crafted portrait will last for centuries. Consider carefully what you want your portrait to say about the person being depicted. Where will it hang and what size should it be? How much of the subject do you want to include? Are there certain additional elements you'd like depicted? Should the subject's wardrobe be formal or informal, do you want any personal items included, or is there a particular location you want for the background?
